Clothing is a basic human need but the textile industry is one of the most polluting on the planet and is contributing to the earth’s precious humus disappearing under layers of chemical herbicides and pesticides. The use of chemical substances, often toxic, during production processes, is causing not only health problems, but also water contamination during the use of our clothes because, every time we wash a garment, the substances it contains go releasing into the water. The textile industry is also one of the industries that has involved the most labor exploitation in countries without social protection systems like ours.

After years of looking at clothing labels and realizing that practically everything came from Asia without offering guarantees regarding the treatment of workers and that almost all materials contained synthetic fibers, we decided to stop complaining and offer an alternative. This is how humus emerged, a sustainable fashion store where ethics and love for nature would always be present, in every decision. More than a decade has passed in which we have been adapting to changes but the original values remain intact. Humus is now a brand of organic clothing made mostly in Spain, with a point of sale in Palma de Mallorca and an online store that is growing a little bit every day. We make all our garments with premium, eco-certified fabrics and timeless designs that surprise with their comfort and originality.
